Swoon definitely improves where Carnavas fell short, as few shortcomings as it had. They have definitely improved as songwriters and musicians, and its audible throughout the entire record. A few of my favorite tracks are "getting old is getting old," "its nice to know you work alone," and of course "panic switch."
This time around, there are much more textures, atmospherics, and effects not heard much previously, such as strings and synths. I suggest listening to the album with a great set of headphones. The record leaves very little to improve upon, and I highly recommend it to fans of Carnavas.
Swoon drops April 14th, 2009. I posted their new single, "Panic Switch," from their upcoming album, Swoon (which drops on April 14th, 2009),last week. Unfortunately, the label asked me to take it down, so for now listen to it on their Myspace page, or ask me...
Instead, here is their first single from Carnavas, called "Lazy Eye."
