Wings of Joy (1991)
I first heard The Cranes when they opened for The Cure back in 1992/93 for the Wish tour (about the time i started to dislike The Cure). They were amazing live, and her vocals are sick. I still cannot understand most of what she sings, but the are haunting!! Their dark, ethereal, atmospheric sound conjures a comparison to the Cocteau Twins immediately.
I was totally obsessed with this record way back when...
...and have included the track "starblood" for your listening pleasure. Handle that.
